The Real Birth Company strongly believes that all pregnant women regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, or socio-economic background should have access to the same level of positive, factual and evidence-based information to support them in making the right decisions for themselves and their babies. We are committed to providing accessible antenatal education to all who need it and have designed our website to accommodate all levels of ability and the different digital technologies currently available. The workshop has been written in an easily understandable style with common phraseology and in eight humanly translated languages.
The workshop also contains a list of references available to users providing them with access to alternative sources of reputable information.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 are government guidelines which provide guidance and recommendations on how to implement easily accessible content for those who may experience difficulties. By following these guidelines, we hope to ensure the Real Birth Workshop is as user friendly as possible.
Our ORCHA evaluated Workshop is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 AA standard and is partially complaint with the updated 2.1 AA standard guidelines.

Our team will continue working to seek out and implement solutions ensuring our workshop is as user friendly as possible but if you experience any issues or wish to suggest a helpful feature to us, please complete the user feedback form at the end of Module 7 or feel free to contact us through our contact page.
We do offer services such as accessible PDF or braille versions by request of the workshop that can be sent directly to the user. We do provide a text relay service for people who are D/deaf, hearing impaired or have a speech impediment.

This website is majority compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2.1 AA standard, due to not currently meeting Section 2.5.3.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Section 2.5.3 is the only guideline that we do not currently meet, as all our images do not have a text alternative so that people who use a screen reader can access the information. We will be implementing text alternatives for all images in the Real Birth Workshop by September 2024.
